Spam is arguably the most annoying part about using email. Either too much spam comes in or legitimate emails land in the spam folder - and sometimes both! The mail system is designed to prevent unwanted emails from ever arriving into the Inbox. However, checking the spam folder periodically for legitimate email is advised.
The anti-spam service is a learning system that improves over time. Company.com Email provides additional tools to help manage incoming spam. Here are a few ways to manage spam.
- If you find a spam email in your inbox, select it and then click Move to Spam. This will blacklist the sender's email address.
- If a message is already open and it is spam, select Move to Spam.
Check the spam folder regularly. Occasionally, there are messages that were filtered but ended up here. Select those messages and click on Move To Inbox or another mail folder. This will whitelist those email addresses from being filtered into spam again.
Outsmart the spammers!
